Work – an interactive sculpture (2010).

This work is an adult version of a classic Finnish children’s toy. Children’s ability to accept and even rejoice in a certain absurdity of human activity is something we often loose when growing up – how does this happen and is it necessary? Can work feel absurdity and joy at the same time? This work is meant as a tool for regaining some of the playfulness and tolerance towards absurdity that we mastered as children.
